Kim joins us as an experienced medical provider. Following her graduation Magna Cum Laude from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2007, she worked for many years in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care, transitioning to Primary Care in 2018. She is passionate about developing therapeutically beneficial relationships with her patients and considers herself an out-of-the-box thinker.
Kim grew up in Cottage Grove and Drain and has lived in Drain, Creswell or Eugene/Springfield for most of her life. Kim enjoys living in this area for many reasons, including the proximity to her family which includes her two grandchildren. She has been a small business owner and for many years worked as a Family Practice Medical Assistant in Eugene. She furthered her education by becoming a Physician Assistant after her children were grown.
Project Helping Hands
Kim’s love for medical missions is inspiring. She has been an active member of Project Helping Hands since 2011 and has participated in or led up to four teams a year since. She enjoys many things about this work, particularly the genuine human connection with people who have no other access to healthcare. Kim also enjoys teaching basic healthcare to local people and helping them develop healthcare systems that will benefit them long after the teams leave. As a team leader, she enjoys taking first-time volunteers, teaching them successful methods of working in these populations and watching their own personal growth as they do so. In addition, these trips feed her love for adventure travel, often with extensive hiking and primitive camping in places few outsiders have the opportunity to experience.
Otherwise, in her free time, Kim enjoys many outdoor activities in our area. She loves to hike, kayak, camp and road trip with her boxer, Beau. Kim is looking forward to developing strong relationships with our community and her new patients for many years to come. Make an appointment with Kim today!
